IS IT OK TO BE NOT OK

How do the visually challenged get along in everyday life? Diversified answers are there for this question. There will be insights only from a few. What bothers the visually challenged is the way in which they are treated. The visually challenged are treated as second class citizens. Most of the visually challenged are well adjusted persons. The most important quality they posses is that they have accepted themselves as they are. They do have needs and wants.

They don’t want to be placed lower on the list anywhere just because someone believes their quality of life is less than that of a person with normal vision. They consistently send a message that they work tirelessly and they have capabilities. They are motivated by their desire to participate in the mainstream of life: to be well educated, and allowed to participate as fully contributing citizens. The paradox of life is that the people with excellent vision fail to accept themselves and their environment with here and now attitude.
